Project Overview

Dark Knight Engineering delivered the Raw Mill Ducting Shut project for Cement Australia at the Gladstone facility in Queensland. The project involved the fabrication and installation of large-scale ducting components critical to the plant’s raw mill operations.

Fabrication was completed at Dark Knight’s Park Ridge workshop before the ducting sections were transported from Brisbane to Gladstone for installation. Over a two-month fabrication period followed by a four-week on-site installation, the project required careful coordination between fabrication, logistics and site teams to ensure the components were delivered and installed efficiently.

Approximately 20 skilled tradespeople, including boilermakers, fitters and riggers, were involved in the installation works. The project was completed safely, on schedule and to a high standard, demonstrating Dark Knight Engineering’s capability to manage complex fabrication and installation projects within large industrial environments.

The successful delivery of the project established a strong working relationship between Dark Knight Engineering and Cement Australia, leading to ongoing collaboration on future works.
